Synthrapol for Cherrywood Fabrics
Synthrapol for Cherrywood Fabrics
Synthrapol is a concentrated surfactant that suspends dye molecules in water. It is used in the dyeing process to remove sizing and contaminates in the raw product, as well as flushing out excess dye afterwards. It is recommended when washing hand dyed fabric and batiks, but can be used for any fabrics or clothing as an “insurance policy.”
All Cherrywood has been washed and rinsed twice in hot water with Synthrapol after the entire dyeing process (several MORE cycles) to rinse out any excess dye. We strongly recommend pre-washing Cherrywood at home in with synthrapol. Your water is different than our water, and it is best to wash before using. Repeat if there is a large amount of color in the rinse water.
Pre-washing fabric: Two teaspoons of Synthrapol in a full load of WARM water. Darker colors may require a repeat wash. Top-load machines work best.
Subsequent washing of finished projects: Two teaspoons Synthrapol in COLD water.
